Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a warehouse associate to accurately and efficiently process distribution tasks using RF scanning and pallet jacks. You will handle receiving, transferring, picking, packing and shipping with attention to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include tagging pallets, restocking shelves, and maintaining clean work areas. Candidates should have at least ½ year warehouse experience, basic math, and comfort learning warehouse software.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and strong basic math skills.
• Minimum ½ year experience in warehouse operations - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency and well organized.
• Cooperative team like attitude.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Handling of product per the warehouse distributor standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management
