Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Fullerton, CA, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving associate to expedite work orders and support production schedules. The role involves material handling, inventory counts, and coordination with production for timely resource delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and stocking all raw materials.
  • Moving materials to maintain production schedules.
  • Reviewing production schedules and reports to identify delays.
  • Follow up on special requests to communicate needs and anticipated delays.
  • Perform physical counts for inventory audits.
  • Use forklift, flat bed truck, and other transportation within the facility.

Responsibilities

General Summary:

Under close supervision, expedites the flow of work orders through the manufacturing process according to production and shipping schedules, inform the status of orders and any situations affecting the production schedule.

Qualifications

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and stocking all raw materials
  • Moving raw materials throughout the manufacturing process as needed to maintain production schedules.
  • Review production schedule, schedule change notices, and reports or records of the status of work orders to identify any production delays.
  • Follow up on special requests or work orders from production supervisors to support departments to ensure communications of such requests, and to identify anticipated or actual delays in the delivery of resources or support services to production department.
  • Perform physical counts of products/components in the manufacturing process or in storage as needed to assist in inventory audits.
  • Use forklift, flat bed truck, and/or other transportation means for moving material within and outside of the facility.

Experience and Background:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing environment

  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Understand use of fork life, order picker
  • Knowledge on scale counting
  • Experience in packing and shipping
  • Knowledge on QAD and Oracle
  • Able to perform assigned duties such as pull work order, dormant inventory and packing finished goods per S-71117
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Class C Drivers License.

Compensation Range:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
