Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Supply Chain Data Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret data across global supply chain operations. The role collaborates with operations, logistics, and engineering to identify trends and drive data‑driven improvements.

You will own end‑to‑end demand planning, build data pipelines with SQL and Python, and develop dashboards to monitor KPIs and metrics. A strong background in MRP/inventory control and forecasting is required, with on‑site work in Fullerton, CA.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years related experience.
• Strong analytical skills for supply chain measurement and process improvement.
• 3+ SQL, Python, proficiency with pandas/NumPy.
• Statistical forecasting experience.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI).
• High proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Strong knowledge of MRP and inventory control practices.

Responsibilities

Summary

As a Supply Chain Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to our supply chain operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, providing insights to help optimize our global supply chain.

• Own and understand end‑to‑end demand planning and forecasting requirements and processes.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources using SQL and Python.
• Develop and maintain databases, dashboards, and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data, and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Drive automation projects on an aggressive timeline with a team of world‑class engineers and designers
• Develop and maintain a well‑coordinated internal relationship with cross‑functional teams, including operations, logistics, and engineering, to best understand business needs and develop data‑driven solutions
• Develop and implement data visualization tools to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders
• Manage inventory control reorder point levels within MRP system based on historical data and production planning activity.
• Minimize material shortages to ensure production schedule is not negatively impacted.
• Minimize financial impact of inventory.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain/improve cross functional communication and decision making.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve work in process aging.
• Ascertain root cause and implement preventative measures for material shortages.
• Take a proactive approach to identify and resolve inventory control issues before they occur.
• Improve and maintain the integrity of material data within an MRP system.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience within an analytically focused discipline.
• 5 to 7 years related experience
• Strong analytical skills, applicable to supply chain measurement and business process improvement.
• 3+ SQL, Python, Proficiency in pandas, NumPy, and other Python libraries for data manipulation and analysis
• Statistical forecasting experience
• Big Tech, Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, Dashboarding
• High level of proficiency using Excel & Word.
• Strong knowledge of MRP and Inventory Control practices.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong business process improvement & change management skills.
• Comfort in communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Understanding of financial impacts of supply chain management / business decisions.
• Any related certification would be an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience ERP Systems preferred.
• Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience in aerospace industry is preferred.
