Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a warehouse associate to join our distribution team. Based in a large U.S. network, this role involves loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, and transporting goods to support customers nationwide.

You will verify inventory, assist with cycle counts, operate forklift if qualified, maintain a safe work area, and fulfill orders while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, pick, stock, stage, fabricate and transport goods.
• Operate forklift or other machinery as needed.
• Verify inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Receive and fulfill orders for customers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication and transportation of goods.
• Load and unload materials to and from designated storage area, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles. Stack or pile materials, such as lumber, boards, or pallets.
• Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Maintain condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same.
• Receive and fill orders or sell supplies, materials, and products to customers.
• May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferences
