Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support shipment, receiving and delivery of materials across our network. You will operate forklifts, verify items, and help load/unload trucks as needed.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, 2–5 years experience, and forklift experience. We offer medical and dental benefits, a 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and ongoing training through our facilities and networks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, count and record shipment data; match packing lists.
• Prepare packages for storage and assist with loading/unloading.
• Operate forklift and other machinery for stocking and transporting goods.
• Deliver products to designated areas; may drive a truck (F550).
• Verify inventory and assist with cycle counts; ensure area cleanliness.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Prepares packages/merchandise for storage.
• Record receiving data using computer.
• Identify incorrect/short, shipped items and immediately notify supervisor.
• Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, fabricating, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area. May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts. Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
• May perform order layout and make changes to carriers or picking method.
• Drive truck (F550) to pick up incoming stock or deliver materials to designated locations as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License, clean MVR
• Ability to pass pre-employment assessments

Preferably, YOU have:

• 2 - 5 years of experience
• Forklift experience
