Job summary

Core & Main, a leader in reliable infrastructure, seeks a warehouse associate to join our team. You will receive, count and record shipments, operate forklifts, and help maintain accurate inventory in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of experience, forklift experience, and a valid driver’s license, with a strong commitment to safety and dependable customer service.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data.
• Records receiving data using computer.

• Verify inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety policies.
• May drive a company vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Receives, counts and records shipment data into the system. Matches packing list information to actual packed merchandise.
• Record receiving data using computer.
• Identify incorrect/short, shipped items and immediately notify supervisor.
• Safely operates forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, fabricating, picking, stocking, staging, and transportation of goods.
• Deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated area. May operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
• Verify physical inventory and assist with cycle counts. Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
• May drive a company vehicle to deliver or pick up material
• May perform order layout and make changes to carriers or picking method.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferably, YOU have:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience
• Forklift experience

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License

Pay: $16.14 - $21.51 per hour
