Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate labeling, sorting, and placement of materials in the warehouse.
  • Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer requirements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently following safety protocols.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized by sweeping floors and arranging materials.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Unload materials from trucks and transport to storage areas using forklifts or hand trucks.
  • Collaborate with team to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Follow company policies regarding safety, security and quality standards.

Job description

The Warehouse Associate plays a hands-on role in supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials. This position requires prior warehouse and forklift experience and is ideal for someone who is comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

This role involves a significant amount of walking and movement throughout the day and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate labeling, sorting, and placement of materials in the warehouse.
  • Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer requirements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized by sweeping floors, removing debris, and arranging materials in designated locations.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, such as restocking shelves, organizing storage areas, and managing bin locations.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Unload materials from trucks and transport them to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and quality standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Prior warehouse experience required
  • Forklift experience required (certification preferred or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
  • Reliable and team-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (bilingual is a plus but not required)
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (high activity role, significant daily movement)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and moving throughout the warehouse
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
  • Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions
