Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Clayton, OH is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Clayton Distribution Center.

You will support customers by routing parts from distribution centers to their destinations, build protective carriers for engines, and operate equipment such as reach trucks and cherry pickers. This role requires a safety mindset, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to train on multiple pieces of equipment.

Qualifications

• Safety mindset and PPE adherence are required.
• At least 12 consecutive months in prior employment.
• Ability to read/write English and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform material handling and warehousing processes for receiving, storing, packing, and shipping parts and materials.
• Operate handheld scanners to access and update receiving, counting, and order data.
• Train on cherry/order pickers and forklifts; some positions may not operate equipment.
• Report defects and needed repairs.
• Build wooden shipping containers and apply paint or rust preventative.
• Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
