Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Advanced Warehouse Associate in Lafayette, IN to operate specialized logistics equipment and perform warehousing tasks across counting, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.

You will verify part numbers, locations, and quantities while maintaining safety standards and efficiency. The role requires experience in distribution centers or warehouses, ability to work at heights, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• Previous distribution center, warehouse, and/or order filling experience.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet from the floor.
• Good attendance record and reliability.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect specialized logistics equipment (reach trucks, order pickers, turret trucks).
• Meet equipment-specific efficiency targets and accuracy targets for parts handling.
• Count, fill orders, and verify part numbers and locations using source documents.
• Handle warehousing tasks including packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Interact with carrier drivers and adhere to safety policies.
• Perform 5S housekeeping and use devices like iPads for inventory input.
