Base pay range

$12.00/hr - $14.00/hr

Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for checking incoming merchandise against invoices to identify shortages, damaged goods, and backorders, and processing special orders. The Warehouse Associate must ensure the warehouses, storage, and check-in areas are neat, clean, and orderly. Responsibilities include pricing incoming merchandise and preparing packages for mailing, loading merchandise into customers’ vehicles, cleaning restrooms, offices, and areas on the sales floor, and maintaining floor cleaning equipment.

The Warehouse Associate must perform all assigned tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to avoid placing a disproportionate burden on other employees and having an adverse impact on the level of customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Visually verify contents of shipments and use basic arithmetic skills to verify incoming merchandise against orders, invoices, shipping, and packing documents.
2. Communicate with management, employees, and delivery personnel regarding shortages, damages, and backorders.
3. Properly operate a 2-way radio and answer all applicable pages.
4. Load customer purchases into their vehicle while maintaining excellent customer service.
5. Perform janitorial duties as assigned, including maintaining the sales floor and restrooms.
6. Keep warehouse and storage areas neat, clean, and orderly.
7. Safely operate loading, unloading, and transfer equipment, following all safety precautions.
8. Load and unload merchandise and materials, moving items weighing up to 100 pounds.
9. Price or label incoming merchandise appropriately.
10. Repair or mend broken and damaged tools and merchandise as needed.
11. Follow all security procedures in the warehouse and check-in areas.
12. Prepare packages for mailing and maintain an up-to-date receiving file.
13. Know the correct location of all products in stock and assist with special projects as assigned.
14. Attend store meetings and training programs as assigned.

Education
