Warehouse Associate I - QA Team

  • $17-$19 per hour
  • Potential monthly bonus
  • Hours: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.


OSG USA, INC. is a leading manufacturer of taps, endmills, drills, and indexable cutting tools. OSG also serves the fastener industry by offering a complete line of thread rolling, flat, cylindrical, and planetary, rack and trim dies. The company markets its products to numerous industries including automotive, die mold, aerospace, energy, heavy industry, and dental.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Warehouse Associate I to join our growing team! The warehouse team is responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventory of products. They ensure the right products in the correct quantities with the right information reach customers efficiently and effectively. Warehouse Associates assemble orders, receive stock, fill inventory bins, and update system information.

Job Functions for Warehouse Associate:

  • Quality Assurance
    • Pick daily orders of untreated items and pack separately by type to ship out to the coaters.
    • Ship finished packages at the meter station, ensuring correct address are selected.
    • Receive coated items into the warehouse by:
    • Recording POs on a receipt log
    • Creating and Adhering labels to the incoming product.
    • Distributing the product back to the warehouse into the correct locations.
    • Use a laser marking machine to etch data onto tools.
    • Create specialty labels for unique products.
    • Investigate issues of bad or incorrect products.
    • Support warehouse with picking, packing and/or metering at the end of the day when needed.
  • Shipping:
    • Obtain merchandise from warehouse shelving to fill orders for stock, non-stock, and special item orders and verify accuracy while utilizing an RF Gun
    • Operate quality control stations with accuracy and care
    • Initiates proper packaging techniques and places care for outbound shipments using OSG standards
    • Create a bill of lading, and shipping documentation, and operate the metering station for outbound shipments
    • Verifies shipping company for outgoing packages (i.e. UPS, FedEx)
  • Receiving:
    • Retrieve inbound packages and open them safely
    • Able to locate and place incoming product shipments accurately and quickly in identified bin locations utilizing an RF Gun
    • Processes customer returns utilizing preset guidelines with the ability to differentiate products and packaging
    • Records inbound receipt data as needed
  • Knowledge of product line:
    • Able to identify products based on packaging and item number
    • Ability to create and label repackaged products for various reasons
  • Inventory:
    • Data entry of cycle counts utilizing RF Guns
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Warehouse Associate:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Knowledge of general warehouse shipping and receiving procedures is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and E2Open Global Parcel preferred.

Compensation:

  • $17-$19 per hour depending on experience + Monthly bonus potential


Physical Working Demands:

  • Read, write, and understand and communicate by telephone using the English language.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift equipment to 50 lbs.


Working Environment:

  • Our workplace is in a temperature-controlled environment with better than adequate lighting. The noise level in the warehouse environment is occasionally noisy. (Bell ringing, heavy communication between co-workers, company paging system, trucks unloading at loading docks).
