Job summary

Border States is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations in Laurel, MD. Responsibilities include receiving freight, inspecting for damages, stocking, order filling, and coordinating deliveries with carriers.

The role requires basic forklift experience, attention to inventory, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate has 2 years of warehouse experience, proficient communication, and the ability to plan and organize.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience preferred.
• Forklift operation experience is preferred.
• If driving, must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• PC knowledge: Windows, Internet, Email and SAP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming freight and checks the material for damages or shortages.
• Distributes material to the proper stock locations.
• Fills special orders and/or backorders as material is received.
• Coordinates with departments, carriers, and vendors on discrepancies, damages, and shortages.
• Checks and packs material to be delivered.
• Maintains inventory stock locations and keeps shelves neat and organized.
• Fills customer delivery orders and informs relevant departments of stock issues.
• Operates and maintains equipment in a safe manner and adheres to traffic and safety regulations.
