Border States is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations in Chantilly, VA. You will receive freight, verify materials, allocate stock, and prepare items for delivery, while coordinating with carriers and internal departments.

Qualifications

• 2 years of work experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse distribution experience including forklift operation and knowledge of electrical products/systems is preferred.
• If the employee will be driving, must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license; medical certification may be required.
• PC working knowledge for Windows, internet, email and SAP software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming freight and checks the material for damages or shortages.
• Distributes material to the proper stock locations.
• Fills special orders and/or backorders as material is received.
• Follows up with departments, carriers, and/or vendors on discrepancies, damages, and shortages.
• Checks and packs material to be delivered.
• Maintains shipping equipment and keeps work area clean and safe.
• Maintains inventory stock locations with correct locators and orderly shelves.
• Fills orders for delivery to customers.
• Labeled and inventoried batched material as needed.
• Maintains delivery vehicle condition and logs.
