Job summary

K&M Tire in Grinnell, IA seeks a Warehouse Backup Driver to unload and load tires and assist with picking/putting away products. This role supports the Warehouse Manager and Team Leader in safe, accurate handling of tires.

The position runs Monday–Friday 6am–2:30pm. Benefits include 401K with company match, tuition assistance up to $7,000 annually after 6 months, healthcare after 90 days, PTO after 90 days, and opportunities for advancement to lead roles with internal promotion paths.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and communicates effectively.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds; 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to operate a forklift, tire cart, pallet jack and order picker safely.
• Able to verify, pull/pick, and put-away tires/products using scanning devices.

Responsibilities

• Unload semi-trailers and assist loaders for route trucks.
• Use Equipment to verify, pull/pick, and put-away tires/products.
• Keep tires/products in designated locations with proper tagging and restock as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Load multi-warehouse transfer trucks.
• Perform duties of Route Truck Driver I as needed.
• Support Warehouse Manager’s decisions and company goals.
• Receive loads through product number verification and check-in.
