Job summary

Schylling Inc. in Lakewood, WA is hiring a Warehouse Associate for the 2nd shift to support fast-paced warehouse operations. You will unload containers, receive and sort inventory, and pick, pack, and ship orders using bar code scanners.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, the ability to lift up to 49 pounds and operate in a safety-focused environment. Shift is Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, with a base pay range of $20–$21 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience in a related field.
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds and push carts up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to report to work as assigned and work Monday–Friday 3:00 pm–11:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers and receive, sort, and store inventory.
• Pull, pack and ship products based on daily orders.
• Use scanners to read bar codes and fulfill orders.
• Maintain safety and order in the work area.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and simple assembly as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and report safety issues.

About the Job

Schylling is an award-winning toy company that has been putting smiles on the faces of children, and children-at-heart, for over 50 years. Our warehouse operations are in Lakewood, WA, and we are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Associate, 2nd Shift as our operations continue to grow. The most suitable individual will be able to complete the following:

Responsibilities

• Keep safety a priority.
• Unload containers, receive, sort, and put away inventory.
• Pull, pack and ship products based on daily orders.
• Use scanners to read bar codes on products and/or pull customer orders with paper pick tickets.
• Perform value-added services activities included, but not limited to, unboxing/boxing, labeling, stickering, packaging, assembly of products to meet fulfillment requirements.
• Work in high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining order accuracy.
• Monitor product quality and reports any problems to eliminate safety issues.
• Utilize continuous improvement mindset and troubleshoot problems.
• Use safe practices and methods to handle products heavier than 50 pounds.
• Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area.
• Any other duties needed to help fulfill our mission.

Qualifications

• Ability to work first shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
• 1 + year of work experience in related field.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and push utility carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable).
• Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards.
• Must be able to report to work as assigned.
• Can work on a team that supports each other to reach our customer/company goals.
• Can stand for long periods of time, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, climb stairs, and reach frequently during shifts.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must consent to a background check.

The base hourly range for this position is $20.00-$21.00. Offered base compensation within this range will be determined based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographic location and other factors relevant to the scope and responsibilities of this role.
