Responsibilities include loading/unloading pallets, reading orders, ensuring product accuracy, organizing storage, and adhering to OSHA standards while using RF devices and company systems. The role requires 2+ years of related experience and a first shift 6:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m. availability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and other machinery to load/unload pallets and move products.
• Read work orders to determine items to move and distribute from receiving to storage.
• Ensure product accuracy on every order and maintain standards.
• Follow inventory control instructions for placing items on racks and shelves.
• Stack pallets and maximize storage using racking systems.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and use RF devices, computers, and smartphones.
• Handle heavy products safely (up to 50+ pounds) and perform required physical tasks.
• Maintain area cleanliness and support the company's mission.

Schylling's warehouse operations are located in Lakewood, WA. We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator who will safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to support our logistics and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and/or other machinery such as dollies, carts, hand trucks to load/unload pallets and move product within the warehouse and stack pallets or materials appropriately.
• Read work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed from receiving to storage or other designated areas.
• Ensure complete product accuracy on every order while maintaining operational standards.
• Follow inventory control instructions when sorting/placing items on racks, shelves, or in reserve locations.
• Work with racking systems and load/unload pallets, pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically.
• Employ OSHA standards for operating speeds, signaling, and product placement.
• Use technology such as RF devices, computers, and smartphones.
• Use safe practices for handling products heavier than 50 pounds and perform required physical tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, climbing stairs, and reaching frequently during shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area and prioritize safety.
• Perform other duties necessary to support the company's mission.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to work the first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Forklift operating certification and training are a plus.
• Teamwork orientation to support company and customer goals.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• US work authorization required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Consent to a background check.

Base hourly range: $23.25 to $24.25. Compensation within this range will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other factors relevant to the role.
