Job summary

Schylling is seeking a Warehouse Associate for 1st shift in Lakewood, WA to support fast-paced fulfillment operations. Responsibilities include unloading containers, receiving and sorting inventory, and picking, packing, and shipping orders according to daily demand.

You will use scanners, assist with packaging, labeling and basic assembly as needed, while maintaining safety and accuracy. The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, ability to lift up to 49 pounds, and US work

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience in a related field.
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds and push/pull carts and gear up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work first shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday–Friday.
• US work authorization required.
• Consent to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers, receive, sort, and put away inventory.
• Pull, pack and ship products based on daily orders.
• Read bar codes with scanners and pull orders with tickets.
• Perform value-added tasks: unboxing/boxing, labeling, stickering, packaging, assembly as needed.
• Maintain order accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Monitor product quality and report issues to prevent safety problems.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and troubleshoot problems.
• Handle products safely, including weights over 50 pounds when required.
• Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area and assist with other duties as needed.

Schylling is an award-winning toy company that has been putting smiles on the faces of children, and children-at-heart, for over 50 years. Our warehouse operations in Lakewood, WA, and we are currently looking for experienced Warehouse Associate, 1st Shift as our operations continue to grow.

Responsibilities

• Keep safety a priority
• Unload containers, receive, sort, and put away inventory
• Pulls, packs and ship products based on daily orders
• Has the ability to use scanners to read bar codes on products and/or pull customer orders with paper pick tickets
• Perform value-added services activities included, but not limited to, unboxing/boxing, labeling, stickering, packaging, assembly of products to meet fulfillment requirements
• Work in high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining order accuracy
• Monitors product quality and reports any problems to eliminate safety issues
• Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and troubleshoot problems
• Use safe practices and methods to handle products heavier than 50 pounds
• Maintain cleanliness in the assigned area
• And any other duties needed to help fulfill our mission

Qualifications

• Ability to work first shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
• 1 + year of work experience in a related field
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Lift up to 49 pounds and push utility carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear up to 60 pounds
• Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)
• Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards
• Must be able to report to work as assigned
• Work on a team that supports each other to reach our customer/company goals
• Can stand for long periods of time, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, climb stairs, and reach frequently during shifts
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• US work authorization required
• High school diploma/GED required
• Consent to a background check
