Job summary

Mid-Am Building Supply is seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate in Mt Pleasant, IA to handle receiving, unloading, stocking, picking, and loading building materials with accuracy and safety. The role supports daily shipping objectives in a fast-paced environment and offers a 6:30 AM–3:00 PM CST schedule with a 30-minute lunch break.

The position pays $20.00 per hour with a safety bonus program of $100 per quarter based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks safely and efficiently.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against shipping and receiving documentation.
• Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Accurately pick, pull, and prepare customer orders for shipment or pickup.
• Load company trucks and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily shipping, receiving, and operational goals.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

• Ability to complete company-provided forklift training and successfully pass the forklift operator evaluation.


• Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.


• Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving, distribution, or material-handling experience.


• Forklift operating experience.


• Familiarity with building materials, lumber, millwork, or related products.


• Experience picking orders, stocking inventory, or loading delivery trucks.
