Job Description
Base pay rate is $15.75 - $17.75 per hour
Shift Hours: 7:30AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday (with potential overtime)
Warehouse Associates perform material and product loading and unloading activities to support the branch/warehouse location. In their day-to-day duties, they operate a forklift, overhead crane and construction tools.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
- Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage. Assist co-workers and customers.
- Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas.
- Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Pace – Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Communication – Effective communication abilities.
- Physical Stamina – Ability to lift and move heavy items, often requiring the use of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Attention to Detail – Ensuring orders are processed accurately and inventory is managed correctly.
- Organizational Skills – Efficiently organizing stock and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Teamwork – Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
- Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane.
- Experience – Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting Capacity – Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mobility – Prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, crouching, etc.
- Exposure – Moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non‑climate‑controlled environment.
- Noise Tolerance – High noise levels.
