Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support operations by crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks. Job Details

• Base Pay: $17.25 per hour
• 1st Shift: M–F 7am – 3pm
• Benefits start day one
• 80 hours vacation (scheduled annually)

Duties and Responsibilities

Associate assists in warehouse operations by crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks. The associate ensures orders are filled accurately, cartons are structurally sound, and product meets customer expectations.

• Assist with crating, pulling product, and unloading trucks
• Load loose cartons into trucks to ensure stability during shipment
• Collect wood product for crate set‑up and construction
• Build crates from wooden materials around cartons of product in preparation for shipment by flatbeds
• Repair or reseal damaged cartons, or rebox product when necessary
• Consolidate all accessory and siding products on storage racks when needed
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and safety checks on motorized equipment
• Perform warehouse maintenance and housekeeping
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required
• Attend scheduled staff meetings with the Distribution Supervisor, if necessary
• Perform basic duties of Warehouse Associate 2 at times, based upon ability and experience
• Maintain an accurate time card daily and calculate on a weekly basis
• Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location

Qualifications

Experience

No experience necessary; mechanical aptitude helpful.

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of shipping process helpful.

Mental/Physical/Visual Demands

• Good eye/hand coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to read and comprehend numbers
• Ability to lift up to 86 pounds continuously and 87‑100 lbs with assistance
• Detail‑oriented, good communication skills, and ability to work well with others
• Must be able to separate product by profiling color

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust
• Continual lifting, twisting, and bending required

Equipment/Tools Used

• Proficient in use of claw hammer, pneumatic nail gun, pneumatic bander, and electric skill saw
• Safety glasses and ear plugs must be used as instructed
• Willingness to obtain a license to operate motorized equipment
• If applicable, certification to operate a crane may be required

Safety

• Safe work performance required at all times
• Perform all duties in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals
• Must wear or use personal protective equipment as required and immediately report unsafe conditions
