• Assists our Drivers with loading and unloading their trucks at our store and trailer locations through WNY. Uses a forklift and pallet jack when necessary.
• Receives and empties gaylords of donated goods.
• Sorts donated goods onto pallets and into gaylords pursuant to the sorting and processing guidelines.
• Identifies goods for merchandise in retail stores and for special sales.
• Performs periodic testing of donated equipment as needed and as directed.
• Processes and removes unsold items as appropriate.
• Operates baler and organizes salvage area.
• Inspects, sorts and identifies sellable and non-sellable items.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

THE POSITION

This Position’s Key Responsibilities Include

• Maintains production tallies.
• Performs periodic testing of donated equipment as needed and as directed.
• Processes and removes unsold items as appropriate.
• Maintains supplies inventory.
• Operates baler and organizes salvage area.
• Inspects, sorts and identifies sellable and non-sellable items.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS (The Stuff You Must Have)

• Must be able to lift, exert, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly with no support.
• Ability to move around the warehouse and ride along in a truck to various locations throughout WNY.
• Prolonged periods of standing, sitting and walking.
• Ability to twist, bend, and reach on a frequent basis.
• Prior material handling experiences preferred.
• Ability to read and write.
  
  

Compensation

Goodwill regularly evaluates our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. Starting pay will be based on a candidate’s experience, skills and education.

• The pay range for this position is between $15.50/hour to $16.00/hour.
