New York Bus Sales in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Warehouse Associate for a full-time position. Primary duties include inventory management, receiving, and shipping in a fast-paced dealership.

Responsibilities include checking incoming merchandise, labeling, distributing to storage or benches, pulling and shipping orders, and safely operating equipment. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate good organizational skills.
• Properly use the company POS system.
• Make good business decisions according to established procedures and policies.
• Sufficient speech and hearing for regular, professional communication with customers, other employees and supervisors.
• Understand oral and written company and industry correspondence.
• Write or type to communicate with customers and vendors via email or fax.
• Perform numeric calculations accurately.
• Have transportation to/from NYBS facilities and events.
• Be safety conscious and follow prescribed safety practices to prevent injuries.

• Shipping: pick, stage, and ship orders; determine best delivery method; process payments for orders; dispatch deliveries.
• General: safely operate material handling equipment; organize and relocate inventory; conduct inventory counts; maintain clean work area; follow 5S and safety practices; report discrepancies; ensure timely delivery to customers.

Job Summary

The primary function is a full-service dealership offering sales, service, a. We provide safe, dependable buses for our customers and professional services to meet their needs. inventory neatly, accurately, and efficiently. All Warehouse Associates are responsible for every function performed in the department; this includes Shipping and Receiving duties.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• · Receiving
• o Check incoming merchandise against purchase orders for quantity discrepancies and damaged goods.
• o Notate, investigate, and correct any discrepancies with the vendor.
• o Ensure every part received is labeled with our part number.
• o Distribute received items to the correct storage location or to the shipping bench/ service bench as directed by the receiving report.
• o Pull, bill, and ship internal inventory transfers.
• o Allocate warranty, cores, and new merchandise returns to the proper staging areas.

• o Print, accurately pick, and stage sales orders for shipping or customer pick up
• o Determine the best delivery method to meet customer needs (motor freight, UPS, etc.)
• o Process payments for sales orders (charge, credit card, etc.)
• o Dispatch deliveries with parts driver

• o Safely operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, hand carts) to move product throughout the building and grounds.
• o Organize and relocate inventory as needed, maintaining accurate bin locations in system
• o Conduct inventory counts as directed
• o Maintain a clean and organized work area
• o Follow 5S cleanliness standards and other work practices
• o Follow all prescribed safety methods and perform work safely.
• o Report inventory discrepancies for investigation and correction
• o Provide best in class customer service.
• o Follow established Company policy and Department procedures and workflows to complete tasks.
• o Ensure parts orders are delivered to both internal and external customers accurately, efficiently, and within the customer’s expected deadline to maintain superior customer service levels.
• o Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
