Job summary

1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC in Kentucky is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load/unload deliveries, check in flowers, and stock supplies. You will keep the facility clean and safe, and may drive when needed.

Responsibilities include standing for long periods, maintaining the cooler, staying organized under pressure, and lifting 25–50 pounds. Bi-lingual ability and florist experience are a plus; HS diploma required.

Job description

This position requires the loading or unloading of supplies from all delivery trucks. The warehouse person will also be involved with checking in of all flowers that are delivered every week and putting away of all supplies. The warehouse person needs to keep all areas of the facility clean and safe from any debris. The Warehouse person needs to be flexible and be willing to drive when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Good Communicational skill necessary
• Must be Flexible and willing to work longer hours during Holidays and on weekends.
• Make sure that facility and restrooms are kept clean and organized.

• Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds.
• Must have a clean driver record.
• Must be able to make deliveries when needed.

Requirements

• Bi-lingual ability and floral/florist experience are a plus but not a necessity
• Should have good Math skills and able to receive and give directions to get the job completed
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Candidate must be agile enough to work in our fast paced, ever changing environment
• Must have the ability to work in hot and cold temps for extended periods of time as well as work on one’s feet for long periods of time
• Able to lift up to 40lbs when necessary
• Candidate must always wear closed toe footwear and must be able to help in other departments if needed
• Candidate must be able to receive deliveries from vendors when needed.

The expected salary range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hour. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
