Job summary

Kidwell is hiring a Warehouse Assistant in Lincoln, NE. The role supports the warehouse team to manage materials, tools, and equipment, while collaborating with the purchasing manager to ensure proper receiving, processing, and delivery to job sites.

Ideal candidates will have experience with vendor management software, data analysis, and attention to detail; a valid driver's license is required and CDL is a plus. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Lift 50+ lbs.
• Experience with vendor management software (Spectrum, Asset Panda).
• Associate or Bachelor degree in SCM/Business or 2+ years in warehouse/logistics.
• Forklift pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor, Purchasing Manager and field staff for timely material deliveries to job sites.
• Support ongoing organization and improvement of the company warehouse.
• Maintain inventory records in Spectrum as materials are received or delivered to job site.
• Assist with shipping/receiving, verify PO details and check for damaged goods.
• Assist with cleaning and janitorial duties throughout the warehouse and offices.
• Support vehicle and building maintenance tasks as assigned.

Candidates need great organizational skills and must be quality communicators. We want any employee or vendor that steps into our warehouse to see a highly organized facility. The Warehouse Assistant will work with the Warehouse Team to effectively manage materials, tools, and machinery that enter and exit the warehouse and will collaborate with the purchasing manager and other staff to ensure all material is received, processed, and delivered to the appropriate employee or job site.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor, Purchasing Manager, and Kidwell field employees to ensure timely material deliveries to job sites and other departments.
• Assist in the continued organization and improvement of the company warehouse.
• Assist with efficient inventory control such as maintaining accurate records in Spectrum as material is received or delivered to job site, participate in physical end‑of‑year inventory cycle, making recommendations to Purchasing Manager when identifying areas for efficiency.
• Assist with shipping and receiving operations including material verification with purchase order (PO), checking for damaged goods, routing and preparing materials for delivery to job site, coordination with vendors for appropriate drop‑off time and location.
• Assist with cleaning and janitorial duties throughout Kidwell warehouse and office buildings.
• Vehicle and building maintenance including, but not limited to, minor repairs and other duties as assigned.

Do you have what it takes?

• Must be able to work between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Working experience of vendor management software (e.g., Spectrum, Asset Panda, etc.).
• Ability to gather and analyze data to make solid decisions based on logic and reason.
• Attention to detail (e.g., checking for correct quantity/delivery address/pricing).
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Class A CDL preferred but not required.

Education and/or Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or other similar major preferred; and/or 2+ years relevant work experience in a warehouse environment/logistics management.
• Previous experience operating a pallet jack and operating a forklift preferred.
