Professional Development

Responsibilities
- Use voice‑picker technology to accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders.
- Assemble and verify orders for accuracy and quality before shipment.
- Load outbound shipments and process orders using the Infor/CSD/WMS platform.
- Unload and inspect inbound merchandise for accuracy and quality.
- Check in products against purchase orders and apply SKU labels.
- Move, sort, and store materials in designated locations for efficient retrieval.
- Safely operate sit‑down forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers after completing company training and OSHA certification.
- Transport, stack, and store pallets following all safety guidelines.
- Assist with physical inventory and scheduled cycle counts.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized storage areas to support operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Wear required PPE including steel‑toed boots, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Follow all safety policies and report hazards or equipment issues immediately.
- Work safely in indoor, outdoor, hot, and cold environments.
- Follow company policies and supervisor instructions.
- Collaborate with team members to meet productivity goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain a positive, customer‑focused attitude.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 3 months of warehouse experience or equivalent training/education.
- Basic English reading and writing skills sufficient to understand safety instructions, labels, and operating procedures.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety‑focused.
Preferred
- Forklift operation experience (sit‑down, cherry picker, reach truck).
- Voice‑picker system experience.
- Lumber or building product industry experience.
- Receiving and shipping experience.
- Inventory control experience.
- WMS (Warehouse Management System) familiarity.
- Previous experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 90 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor environments, including hot and cold conditions.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
Pre‑Employment Requirements
- Ability to pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Schedule
- Full‑time position.
- Day shift schedule (typical warehouse hours).
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods as needed.
