Job summary

Randstad is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler & Shipping/Receiving Forklift Operator in a first-shift role. You will operate PIT equipment, handle inbound and outbound materials, and ensure inventory accuracy using RF scanners.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse material handling and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and motorized pallet jacks to transport, stack, rack, and relocate materials across docks, storage bays, and production areas.
• Unload inbound freight from trailers, flatbeds, and containers; inspect shipments for damage; verify counts; and process stock into the WMS using RF scanners.
• Retrieve finished goods, stage orders on shipping dock, wrap pallets, print labels, and load outbound trucks.
• Generate and verify BOL, packing slips, and ASNs; coordinate with freight drivers and couriers during dock turnarounds.
• Replenish manufacturing lines with raw components and packaging supplies; transfer products to storage.
• Conduct cycle counts, audit stock locations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure proper tagging and put-away.
• Perform pre-shift inspections on PIT equipment; keep lanes clean and safe; follow OSHA guidelines.

Job description

Are you a skilled forklift operator with a background in shipping, receiving, and warehouse inventory control? Randstad is looking for a reliable, safety-focused Warehouse Material Handler & Shipping/Receiving Forklift Operator to join our growing logistics teams!

In this role, you will be the backbone of our warehouse floor handling a mix of inbound dock receipts, picking/staging outbound shipments, operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), and keeping our production lines supplied with materials. ZPMLSTCM

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and motorized pallet jacks to transport, stack, rack, and relocate materials across docks, storage bays, and production areas.
• Unload inbound freight from trailers, flatbeds, and containers; inspect shipments for damage; verify piece counts against POs and packing lists; and process incoming stock into the WMS using RF barcode scanners.
• Retrieve finished goods from high-bay racking, stage orders on the shipping dock, wrap/strap pallets, print carrier labels, and load outbound trucks according to weight distribution and freight safety guidelines.
• Generate and double-check BOL, packing slips, and advanced shipping notices; coordinate directly with freight drivers LTL/TL and parcel couriers (FedEx, UPS) during dock turnarounds.
• Replenish manufacturing lines and assembly stations with raw components and packaging supplies to prevent production downtime, and transfer completed products back to warehouse storage.
• Conduct cycle counts, audit stock locations, investigate inventory discrepancies, and ensure all items are correctly tagged, labeled, and put away in their designated bin locations.
• Perform daily pre-shift mechanical inspections on all assigned PIT equipment (checking battery levels, hydraulics, fluids, and brakes); maintain clean, hazard-free lanes and work aisles; and follow all OSHA guidelines and safety rules.
