Job summary

Atlanta Flooring Design Centers in Raleigh-Durham, NC is seeking a Warehouse Associate for a full-time day shift. You will protect inventory by receiving, loading, unloading, and moving materials according to safety policies and procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, basic English, able to lift up to 75 pounds, and may be required to drive a company vehicle for deliveries. Bilingual is a plus; steel-toe boots are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and safety awareness.
• Lifts up to 75 pounds and works in a standing/walking environment.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads goods and supplies with proper handling.
• Moves goods within the warehouse using a forklift as needed.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Occasionally may drive a company vehicle for deliveries or pickups.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Warehouse Associate helps protect inventory, receives, loads, and unloads materials. He or she must appropriately handle all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace and may need to drive a company vehicle occasionally.

The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a warehouse environment. In addition, he or she must have the strength and stamina to perform the duties of this position (standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.) and must have a forklift certification (or is willing to obtain our internal certification). Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus but not required to be considered. All Warehouse Associates are required to wear steel toe boots for safety purposes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loads and unloads goods and supplies ensuring proper handling at all times
• Moves goods within the warehouse as needed, using a forklift as required
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• May be required to make deliveries or pick up materials and return to warehouse using company vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment and with floor coverings highly preferred
• Sit-down forklift experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
