Job summary

Atlanta Flooring Design Centers Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to protect and manage inventory, load and unload materials, and support warehouse operations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of warehouse experience.

A forklift certification is preferred or candidates must be willing to obtain our internal certification. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, moving goods with a forklift, following safety policies, and occasional vehicle deliveries

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, push, and pull for extended periods.
• Forklift certification required or willing to obtain internal certification.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads goods and supplies, ensuring proper handling at all times.
• Move goods within the warehouse using a forklift as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• May be required to make deliveries or pickup materials using company vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Warehouse Associate helps protect inventory, receives, loads, and unloads materials. He or she must appropriately handle all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace and may need to drive a company vehicle occasionally.The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a warehouse environment. In addition, he or she must have the strength and stamina to perform the duties of this position (standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.) and must have a forklift certification (or is willing to obtain our internal certification). Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus but not required to be considered.
