Job summary

Atlanta Flooring Design Centers Inc. in Chattanooga seeks a Warehouse Associate to protect inventory and handle materials in a safe, efficient manner. You will load, unload, and move goods with a forklift, and may sometimes drive a company vehicle.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in a warehouse, and the strength to lift up to 75 pounds. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; steel-toe boots are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of warehouse experience.
• Must be able to stand, lift, push, and pull.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain internal certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads goods and supplies, ensuring proper handling.
• Moves goods within the warehouse using a forklift as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• May deliver or pick up materials using company vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Warehouse Associate helps protect inventory, receives, loads, and unloads materials. He or she must appropriately handle all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace and may need to drive a company vehicle occasionally.The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a warehouse environment. In addition, he or she must have the strength and stamina to perform the duties of this position (standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.) and must have a forklift certification (or is willing to obtain our internal certification). Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus but not required to be considered.
