Job Description: Warehouse Assistant

The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored efficiently. This includes receiving, packing, and shipping orders, maintaining accurate records, and operating warehouse equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Processing Incoming Stock:

• Able to lift 50-100 lbs regularly
• Unload and verify shipments
• Check for damage or discrepancies
• Store goods in designated areas

Order Fulfillment:

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping
• Label and document orders accurately
• Load and secure goods for transport

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Identify and address stock discrepancies
• Ensure proper storage and organization

Warehouse Operations:

• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers

Other Duties:

• Forklift certification is preferred; training available post-hire
• Participate in inventory counts and cycles
• Assist with product returns and inter-store transfers
• Communicate with departments and vendors
• Deliver tires to retail locations
• Maintain the scrap tire program
• Support purchasing with computer duties such as payables and inventory
• Oversee online tire sales
• Assist personnel as needed
