Job Description Summary

The warehouse associate acts on behalf of the warehouse lead to meet customer requirements, including conducting cycle counts, pulling parts, inbounding products, receiving goods, and assisting with linehaul operations. This role involves various tasks to ensure smooth warehouse operations and a positive customer experience.

Essential Functions / Core Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Assist with daily warehouse activities: quality assurance, inventory control, logistics, shipping, and customer service.
• Help reduce costs and improve efficiency, suggesting improvements to management.
• Inspect equipment and oversee maintenance as needed.

Leadership Dependability and Reliability

• Behave consistently and follow through on commitments.
• Maintain punctuality and be present for critical events.
• Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers regarding priorities and procedures.

Equipment and Operations

• Regularly inspect equipment and report issues.
• Learn and efficiently use technology relevant to the role.

People Management

• Assist in recruiting, training, and developing team members for routes and services.

Budget & Cost Reduction

• Collaborate with management to develop and control budgets.
• Assist with billing and manage overtime to ensure efficiency and budget alignment.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

• Forklift certification preferred; training available.
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack.
• Driver’s license is desired; if operating fleet vehicles, a valid license is required. Without a license, employee cannot drive vehicles.
