Job summary

Caliber Sales Engineering, Sunrise, FL, is seeking a full-time Warehouse Assistant to coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, assemblies and finished product according to production and shipping priorities.

Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, storing, packing, loading, and tracking inventory; operating forklift; maintaining safety and a clean work environment; and supporting inventory controls.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for accurate receiving and inventory control.
• Clear communication with team and supervisors, and precise documentation are required.
• Strong time management and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are needed.
• Proficiency with computers and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment.
• Experience with aviation/defense environments a plus; familiarity with Pentagon/Quantum inventory systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials against receiving documents and report discrepancies.
• Process and fulfill internal requests and delivery orders.
• Move, load, and unload items; maintain inventory controls and records.

Purpose: Warehouse assistant needed for coordinating and expediting flow of material, parts, assemblies and finished product in accordance with production, shipping schedules and supervisors’ priorities.

Job Description

• Receive products and supports work processes by receiving, inspecting, preparing, sorting, identifying, weighing, allocating, and loading materials; placing orders in receiving area. Route and assign material to storage locations.
• Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and any damages.
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
• Returns items to inventory by loading, moving, and unloading items.
• Monitor and control movement of materials, parts and finished products.
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
• Maintain electronic files, records, and packing lists.
• Maintains quality inspection by following organization standards.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by removing scrap; sweeping and mopping area; erecting barriers; disposing of hazardous materials; following safety rules, procedures and regulations; wearing personal protective equipment when necessary, keeping shelves, and work area clean.
• Operate forklift and any other equipment as needed.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
