Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Geneva, NY is seeking a 2nd Shift Case & Label & Warehouse Supervisor to lead labeling operations and ensure line efficiencies.

You will coordinate scheduling of direct materials, oversee maintenance of the labeling area, and manage labeling staff while upholding safety and quality standards. This role requires 5+ years as a lead or supervisor, strong communication, and decisive decision-making on a fast-paced shift.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of labeling requirements or ability to learn
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Knowledge of Gem-INCS, OSTAT or ability to learn them
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead a team
• Must be flexible with good organizational skills
• Capable of making accurate, calculated decisions
• High School education or equivalent; some post-high school preferred
• 5+ years as Leadperson or Supervisor in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations in labeling
• Ensure label line efficiencies and throughput
• Coordinate direct materials scheduling for label lines to meet deadlines
• Oversee maintenance of labeling area and equipment
• Manage labeling personnel scheduling and workload
• Reconcile between GEM & INCS inventory
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality procedures
• Collaborate with Quality to communicate product issues
• Prepare EOM downtime, line change, and production reports
• Conduct physical inventory and pallet coordination
• Participate in safety and quality committees
• Perform additional duties as required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day operations in labeling
• Responsible for label line efficiencies
• Order and inventory direct materials scheduling label lines to meet deadlines
• Responsible for overseeing the Maintenance of the labeling area
• Responsible for managing labeling personnel scheduling
• Responsible for reconciliation between GEM & INCS inventory
• Ensure compliance with Safety Regulations and Quality procedures
• Work with the Quality department to communicate any product issues
• EOM Reports (downtime records, line changes, etc.), Monthly Production Report
• Physical inventory preparations
• Chep Pallets, Label coordinator backup
• Participate in the Safety committee, Quality committee, Can damage committee
• Other duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of labeling or ability to learn requirements

• Knowledge of or ability to learn Gem-INCS, OSTAT
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead a team

Wage range based on skills, abilities and experience from $70,000 - $80,000/year

Hours: Mon-Fri 6pm -4am. Some weekend work will be required during the busy season.
