Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation is hiring a 2nd shift Relief Operator for the Packaging department in Michigan. This full-time role starts with an evening schedule (4:00–5:00pm) and pays $19.91–$23.28 per hour.

You will provide coverage for absences and operate multiple packaging line functions to keep production moving. We look for a hands-on, safety-minded team member with a high school diploma and basic math and communication skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide coverage for absences, vacations, etc.
• Operate Labeler, Drop Case / Case Packer, Filler, Depalletizer, Capper, and Line Attendance duties when providing relief or coverage
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math and clear communication skills.

The Work Environment

Exposure to wet/humid conditions and extreme heat/cold. Some high noise levels and moving mechanical parts. Exposure to brine, bleach, and cleaning chemicals.

Must wear proper PPE such as bump cap, eye and ear protection, gloves, to ensure your safety as well as protecting the quality of our products.

Strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with team members across departments.
