Job summary

Emser Tile is seeking a customer-focused team member to manage front-line client service and warehouse operations. You will greet customers, resolve inquiries, and process orders in the JDE system, ensuring accurate records and a smooth showroom experience.

You will collaborate with Branch Operations and Sales to meet goals, assist in showroom maintenance, and support inventory control. Strong math skills and bilingual abilities (Spanish/English) are a plus, and a forklift certification is

1-3 years of experience in building, construction, design, or warehouse environments preferred.

Forklift certification and experience using a wet saw are a plus.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary contact for clients, including Builders, Designers, General Contractors, and walk-in customers, delivering outstanding service in person and over the phone.
Greet customers, resolve inquiries and complaints, and build lasting relationships as the face of the company.
Enter and verify orders and account information in the JDE system with accurate recordkeeping.
Collaborate with Branch Operations and Sales teams to deliver excellent customer experience and support goals.
Support walk-in showroom customers as ISR and/or Operations Manager assistance.
Perform warehouse tasks: inspecting, labeling, stocking, picking, packing, shipping per policy.
Maintain and reconcile warehouse inventory and address discrepancies promptly.
Handle will-call customers and ensure professional service throughout.
Assist in showroom maintenance, including cleaning and updating samples and labels.
Produce basic sample boards and assist in inventory tasks as needed.
Other tasks to support customer service and warehouse operations.

Job description

Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, including Builders, Designers, General Contractors, and walk-in customers, delivering outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone.
Greet customers, resolve inquiries and complaints, and build lasting relationships as the “face” of Emser Tile for new and regular clients.
Enter and verify orders and account information in the JDE system and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Work collaboratively with the Branch Operations team and Sales Team members to deliver exceptional customer experience and support branch and market goals.
Support the ISR and/or Operations Manager with walk-in showroom customers.
Perform warehouse operations as needed, including inspecting, identifying, handling, consolidating, labeling, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping inventory according to company policies.
Maintain and reconcile warehouse inventory, promptly address discrepancies, and generate inventory reports under supervisor direction.
Efficiently handle will-call customers and ensure professional service throughout their experience.
Assist in showroom maintenance as needed, including cleaning, updating samples and labels and conducting monthly showroom audits.
Performs inventory receiving, recording, issuing, and transporting goods (tasks as required), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Assist Operations Manager and/or ISR prepare basic sample boards for branch or customer showrooms.
Other tasks as assigned to support both customer service and warehouse operations.
