Job summary

The Stellar Development Foundation is seeking a Software Engineer on the Wallets team to design, build, and deploy applications across Freighter and related services. You will work end-to-end from data models to user interfaces, gaining deep understanding of the Stellar network and integrations with industry partners.

As part of a mission-driven team since 2014, you will contribute to the wallet ecosystem, collaborate on code reviews, and help drive the product with a strong user-centric mindset

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing software as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval.
• Experience writing server applications in Go, Python, or Java.
• Proficiency writing client applications in TypeScript, Swift, or Dart.
• Solid grasp of design patterns; build reusable, extensible components.
• Excellent communication; able to advocate ideas during design and code reviews.
• Strong product mindset; design for current and anticipated user needs.
• Bonus: experience with blockchain technology, wallets, open-source contributions, Go and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Work on cutting-edge technology at the intersection of blockchain and finance.
• Drive all aspects of the development process for wallet projects, from vision to implementation.
• Design new features and interfaces that users will love.
• Build and maintain scalable backend services that empower the ecosystem.
• Engage with the open-source community on diverse projects, ideas, and integrations.
• Collaborate on code reviews, design discussions, and best practices for engineering at SDF.
