Job summary

Energy Panel Structures in the United States is seeking a Wall Panel Design Technician to design wall panel components using CAD and other design software. You will interpret architectural and structural drawings to create accurate layouts and component drawings, communicating with internal teams and customers to ensure designs meet requirements.

Responsibilities include operating CAD software, reading blueprints, collaborating with Engineering, Production and Sales, refining designs to match

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of construction/building products to determine structural applications.
• Proficiency with drafting, architectural design, or CAD applications.
• Strong attention to detail with solid math and measurement skills.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Sales, Engineering, Production, and job-site personnel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAD equipment or equivalent design software.
• Create wall panel layouts using engineering and design software.
• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Sales to evaluate design concepts.
• Modify and refine designs to meet customer specs or production constraints.
• Develop component documents for plant work orders.
• Plan and manage workload to meet productivity goals.
• Attend and complete applicable trainings.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
