The role involves daily communication with internal and external customers to ensure critical information is properly incorporated into designs, with focus on accuracy, safety, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of construction/building products to determine structural applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with drafting, architectural design or CAD applications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Ability to communicate with Sales/Engineering/Job-site crews.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAD equipment or equivalent design software.
• Create wall panel layouts using engineering/design software.
• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Confer with Engineering, Production and Sales to establish and evaluate design concepts.
• Modify and refine designs to conform to customer specifications, production limitations or building plan modifications.
• Develop component documents for plant work orders.
• Plan and pace own work to meet productivity goals.
• Understand and observe all safety policies and trainings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
