Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care in Massachusetts seeks an Inpatient Therapist for a per diem, coverage-as-needed role on its inpatient eating disorder and psychiatric units. You will provide direct patient care under the Clinical Director and contribute to treatment planning and discharge planning.

Requirements include a Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling, at least 2 years of direct clinical mental health experience, and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work and case management per Walden Behavioral Care philosophy.

• Manage cases on inpatient units; provide individual, group and family therapy.
• Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation; collaborate with the Walden continuum.
• Support virtual patient care and telehealth as needed during low census.

TheInpatient Therapist provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Director.

This is a Per Diem position for coverage as needed.

Pay: $32.20-$52.00/hour depending on education and experience

• Provide clinical social work and case management consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in treatment planning, and discharge planning for assigned cases
• Manage cases on both the inpatient eating disorder unit and inpatient psychiatric unit.
• Conduct individual, group and family therapy.
• Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.
• Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and profession manner.
• Work collaboratively with the treatment team and Walden continuum.
• Maybe required to support virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs.

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting

Licensure/Certification:

• LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LMFT, preferred or license-eligible
• CPR certification, required

Knowledge:

• Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships, age specific growth and development, behavior management and crisis management
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently
• Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast paced mental health environment
• Ability to work in a highly collaborate, team environment
