Job summary

Monte Nido Walden in Dedham, MA seeks a full-time Adult Therapist to provide direct patient care under supervision. This role supports adults, with potential adolescent coverage, within a leading specialty healthcare system serving all genders.

Onsite and part of Walden Behavioral Care. The therapist will conduct individual, group, and family therapy, along with psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention, contributing to a collaborative care team and telehealth options

Qualifications

• PhD/PsyD/ MSW/ Psychology or Counseling degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ direct clinical care in mental health, preferably eating disorders.
• Independent license preferred; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical therapy and case management under program leadership.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and treatment planning for adults.
• Manage cases with adults; may include adolescent coverage.
• Deliver individual, group and family therapy.
• Conduct crisis intervention and liaise with referral sources.
• Ensure timely, professional documentation.
• Collaborate with treatment team and Walden continuum.
• Support telehealth as needed during low census.

The Adult Therapist provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Program Director.

This is a FT position.

Pay: $67,000.00-$110,000.00 depending on education, license and experience

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide clinical therapy and case management in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care and the NASW
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in treatment planning, and discharge planning for an average of 6-7 patients.
• Manage cases primarily with the adult population, with the expectation of handling adolescent cases, as needed.
• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy.
• Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.
• Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with the treatment team and the Walden continuum.
• Maybe required to support virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs.

Qualifications:

• PhD, PsyD, Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
• Minimum of2 years’ experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting, preferably in an eating disorders program
• Independent License preferred
• CPR certification is required
• Must have strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
• Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships processes, age-specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors.
• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to multitask in a changing and fast-paced mental health environment
