Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care in Dedham, MA is seeking an Inpatient / Residential Therapist to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Director. This per diem position supports inpatient care on eating disorder and psychiatric units, delivering therapy and case management.

Qualified applicants hold a Master’s Degree in a related field with 2+ years of clinical experience in mental health settings and licensure eligibility. CPR is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting.
• LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LMFT preferred or license-eligible.
• CPR certification, required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical social work and case management consistent with Walden’s philosophy and objectives.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in treatment planning, and discharge planning for assigned cases.
• Manage cases on both inpatient units (eating disorder and psychiatric).
• Conduct individual, group and family therapy.
• Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.
• Ensure documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and Walden continuum.
• May support virtual patient care and telehealth as needed.

TheInpatient Therapist provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Director.

This is a Per Diem position for coverage as needed.

Pay: $32.20-$52.00/hour depending on education and experience

• Maybe required to support virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting

Licensure/Certification:

• LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LMFT, preferred or license-eligible
• CPR certification, required

Knowledge:

• Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships, age specific growth and development, behavior management and crisis management
