Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care on a 7p-7a shift. The RN will perform duties per physician orders, adhere to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, and uphold the hospital's standards for patient safety and quality care.

Requirements include GA RN licensure and graduation from an accredited nursing program, with BSN preferred and BLS current; ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications are desirable in certain units.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• BSN degree preferred; ACLS/PALS/NRP or other specialty certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Manages patient care for an assigned group of patients in alignment with Northside Hospital's philosophy and values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration and empowerment.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The Northside Hospital Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. Additionally, the practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

• BSN degree
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
