Location: M & M at Case Western Reserve University - 11038 Bellflower Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106. Note: online applications accepted only.

Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Promptly and warmly greet guests; take food and beverages efficiently following established steps of service.
2. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up to assist with additional needs.
3. Understand menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings; accommodate requests and note preferences; knowledge of diets and allergens as needed.
4. Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests.
5. Exhibit excellent communication skills; remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
6. Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
7. Maintain a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
8. Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
9. Address complaints promptly; relay relevant information to supervisor.
10. Ensure proper setup and cleanup of the dining area; meet sanitation standards.
11. Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
12. Assist during special events and functions with other departments.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
