Job Details

• Location: Fellowship Village - 8000 Fellowship Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
• Schedule: Part-time; days may vary, including rotating weekends and holidays. 3:45am to 8:45pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior serving experience preferred but not required.

• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages efficiently, following established steps of service.
2. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up to assist with additional needs or requests.
3. Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink combinations; accommodate requests and note preferences; knowledge of diets and allergens as needed.
4. Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests.
5. Exhibit excellent communication skills; remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff.
6. Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
7. Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment.
8. Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
9. Address complaints promptly and relay information to supervisors.
10. Ensure proper setup and cleanup of the dining area, meeting sanitation standards.
11. Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
12. Collaborate with other departments during special events.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
