Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time WAITER / WAITRESS positions.

  • Schedule: Full-time and part-time; days and hours may vary, including nights, weekends, and holidays. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Prior server experience is required.

Job Summary

Summary: Takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests; take food and beverages orders following established steps of service.
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up to assist with additional needs or requests.
  • Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings; accommodate requests and note preferences; knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
  • Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests are met.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills; remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and staff.
  • Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
  • Address complaints or issues promptly; relay relevant information to supervisors.
  • Ensure dining area is properly set up before and after service; keep area clean and meet sanitation standards.
  • Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
  • Collaborate with other departments during special events and functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
