WAITER/WAITRESS (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Location: Clark At Franklin - 1551 Franklin Street Southeast, Grand Rapids, MI 49506.

Schedule: Full time and part time; hours vary between 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm, and 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Prior serving experience preferred, but not required.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Responsible for taking food and beverage orders and delivering items efficiently to guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take orders following established service steps.
• Deliver food promptly, maintain safety and sanitation standards, and assist guests as needed.
• Understand menu items, advise guests, accommodate requests, and know about dietary restrictions.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure correct order delivery.
• Communicate effectively with guests and staff, remaining flexible and patient.
• Handle tickets and cash transactions properly.
• Maintain a clean, safe dining environment.
• Respect confidentiality of personal and medical information.
• Address complaints promptly and relay issues to supervisors.
• Set up and clean dining area before and after service, meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, and coffee machines.
• Collaborate with other departments during special events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
