Job summary

Hillside, a HumanGood community in McMinnville, Oregon, is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining team. Under supervision, you will set up, clear, and reset the dining room, take menu orders, and serve meals to residents and guests with courtesy.

This part-time role requires weekend availability and may include some evening shifts. Prior food service experience and a Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification are preferred, and experience working with seniors is a plus.

• Prior food service, fast food or restaurant experience.
• Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification.
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred.
• Availability that includes evenings, weekends, & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greets residents and guests promptly as they arrive at their table
• Records accurate food and beverage orders and input into the POS system
• Explains how menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods
• Informs guests of daily specials, makes recommendations
• Carries service tray in correct placement of orders to facilitate service of food and beverages
• Works safely, consistently using designated safety equipment (PPE)
• Completes bussing, runner, meal plater, utility and catering duties as needed or assigned
• Refills beverages throughout the meal service

Description

Hillside in McMinnville, OR, a HumanGood community nationally rated as 2025-2026 Best Senior Living community for Independent Living and Memory Care by U.S News & World Report, is looking for a talented and passionate Server to join our team!

Under general supervision, the Server is responsible for the day-to-day setup, clearing, cleaning, and resetting of the dining room. Duties include taking menu orders and serving meals to residents and guests in a timely, courteous, and gracious manner, while consistently providing excellent customer service.

Pay range: $17+ per hour, depending on experience

Part-time position- weekend availability needed with potential evening shifts a couple nights a week.
