Job summary

Spanish Cove Retirement Village is seeking a friendly Wait Staff to provide dining services for residents and staff. The role requires weekend work from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with potential overtime during emergencies.

You will carry meals, keep dining areas clean, and interact with residents to ensure a warm, supportive dining experience. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, follow all safety and infection-control policies, and work as part of the Dietary team.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Provide dining services to residents and staff.
• Carry meals and beverages to tables.
• Assist in setting and resetting dining areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining spaces and floors.
• Operate basic dining room equipment (coffee urns, vacuum).
• Interact with residents and assist as needed.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and Risk Management policies.
• Assist with table resets and maintaining stock.”
• Overtime may be required during emergencies.
• Complete tasks as assigned on Row Sheets.

Job Title: Wait Staff

Department: Dietary

Essential Employee Position: Must be willing to workweekends, Holidays, and during inclementweather.

Pay Rate: $12.00 hourly

Hours: 10:00am- 3:00pm, Saturday & Sunday

Summary:

Responsible for providing dining services to residents and employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move,push, pull & transfer 50lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Must be courteous and patient with all residents, guests, and employees eating in the dining room.
• Able to carry food and beverages to tables.
• Able to carry soiled dishware to dish room.
• Keep tables reset, clean, and stocked.
• Able to operate coffee urns.
• Able to operate a vacuum cleaner.
• Keep dining area floors clean.
• Check Cleaning Schedule as posted.
• Interact with residents and offer assistance as needed.
• Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and Risk Management.
• Follow all retirement center and departmental policies and procedures.
• Stay overtime in case of emergency.
• Complete all tasks according to assignments on Row Sheets.
