Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon, OK is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to help prepare and serve breakfast and lunch for residents, following the planned menu cycle and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

You must be willing to work weekends and holidays, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and adhere to infection control and department policies. The role offers $11.50 per hour and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Part-time schedule: 3:00pm–7:00pm.
• Ability to lift, move, push, pull and transfer 50 lbs.
• Provide breakfast and lunch following the posted menu; interact with residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch for residents according to the menu cycle.
• Set up the dish machine and maintain temperatures.
• Set up beverages for meals and assist with nourishment snacks.
• Clean dining area after meals and restock condiments.
• Assist with special functions and final dietary department clean-up.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and Risk Management guidelines.

Essential Employee Position: Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.

Shifts Available: Part-time 3:00pm- 7:00pm.

Pay Rate: $11.50 Hourly

Summary:

Responsible for the preparation and serving of Breakfast and Lunch for residents according to the planned menu cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Must be able to work weekends & holidays.
• Set-up the Dish Machine for the day and record wash and rinse temperatures on the Dish Machine Temperature Chart.
• Set-up all beverages for breakfast and lunch to the posted menu.
• Set-up nourishment juices and snack foods for the correct number of patients by using the Daily Census Sheet.
• Prepare food; salads, desserts and beverages for next meal and or day according to the menu. Follows the Daily Production Sheet.
• Clean the dining room after breakfast and lunch. Wash tables, chairs, condiment bar, and restocks condiments.
• Wash dishes after breakfast and lunch.
• Sweep and mop floors after each meal.
• Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, push, pull & transfer 50lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
• Prepare food for special functions as posted.
• Assist with final clean-up of dietary department before leaving for the day.
• Check posted cleaning schedule and follow listed tasks.
• Interact with patients and offer assistance with selecting meals for a balanced, nutritional, meal.
• Participate in dietary meetings.
• Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and Risk Management.
• Follow all retirement center and departmental policies and procedures.
• Practice confidentiality as authorized in the organizational policy.
• Comply with the Employee Code of Ethics.
