Job summary

White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in La Jolla, CA, is seeking individuals to join our Dining Services Department. This on-site, part-time on-call role offers hourly pay of $19-$20 based on experience.

Responsibilities include greeting residents, taking orders, serving meals, and maintaining a clean dining area. Experience in fast food or dining with seniors is preferred; ServSafe/food handler certification is a plus. Equal opportunity employer.

Shifts Part Time: On Call

Pay Range/Hour: $19-$20/hr based on experience

Job Duties:

• Greets residents and guests as they arrive in the dining room.
• Record food and beverage orders and input into POS system.
• Complete bussing, runner, meal plater, utility and catering duties as needed.
• Set up, clear and clean dining room ensuring tables are clean and disinfected.
• Take orders, serve food and beverages.
• Provide effective and courteous services to all residents, guests, vendors and fellow team members.
• Takes note of safety concerns and needed repairs and reports to supervisor.
• Adheres to HIPPA privacy rules and company policies.

Requirements:

• Fast food or restaurant experience preferred
• Experience working with senior population preferred
• Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with residents
• Available on holidays, evenings and weekends
